Core Technology Partners

Given our C-level executives’ past employment history, it is no surprise that we have a strong and deep relationship with Microsoft. Our platform is based on Microsoft Azure, with structured data stored in Microsoft SQL Server, and meta-data in CouchbaseDB. We also work with OpenAI for Generative AI capabilities, and have senior connections into all of our core technology partner organizations. We regularly perform joint activity such as press-releases, presentations, shared strategic projects and client activity.

Industry Experts

There is a network of agrifood industry experts who have signed partnership agreements with SWARM. Many of these individuals were C-level executives in major food companies, agrifood vendors, System Integrators, and in some cases a combination of those categories. Many of them spend their time consulting, writing, or presenting on the agrifood industry, and they can advise clients on where SWARM can be successfully deployed to solve challenges. We have coverage in multiple geographies worldwide, from North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and the broader AsiaPac region. We also have regional relationships with some of the largest System Integrators. Please contact us if you would like to learn more.

Academics

Several world-leading academics are on our Advisory Board, and we also have a strong relationship with the Data Science team at Virginia Tech, where we have been working for several years on both tactical solutions to client optimization challenges, along with a range of broader strategic initiatives to deepen the automation of data science and AI in our core platform. Our academic advisors provide support to SWARM in developing the core platform, but are also industry advisors, experts on both AI, optimization, operational research, machine learning, maritime logistics, and much more.

Agrifood Solution Providers

The first step in Challenge Engineering is to define the challenge; the second step is to map this to the best solution. The SWARM Solution Engine provides algorithms that can solve many of the most common issues in agrifood operational processes, but there are things we can’t do - such as process satellite images, deliver robotic automation to assist field workers, or provide data on food safety labels, to pick just a few examples. Which is why we partner with other solution providers that do offer these technologies. Our goal is to let customers define their challenge, and for SWARM to find the best solution - wherever that may come from. To this end, we work with other vendors to document the challenges that their platform can solve, so that we can recommend them as a potential solution where appropriate. We don’t charge our partners, or our customers, for this service. If you are a technology vendor and would like to be catalogued in the SWARM Challenge Modeler, please contact us here.
